Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Logistics Manger is responsible for the monitoring and managing support services personnel and activities including: Transportation, Client Services, and Medical Data Integrity departments. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support PathGroup’s mission, vision, goals and management decisions. 
  • Provide leadership and supervise/manage assigned departments, make decisions, solve problems, direct the development of and document procedures, and conduct and attend meetings. 
  • Manage the employee hiring process including developing and updating job descriptions, developing performance expectations, identifying essential functions and knowledge, skills and abilities required for applicable positions.   
  • Responsible for new employee orientation processes, employee training and continuing education.
  • Manage employee performance by coaching, counseling, motivating, and evaluating employees on a continual basis. Implement disciplinary action as needed and in consultation with Human Resources.
  • Ensure effective employee relations by sustaining an ethical, non-discriminatory and safe work environment and establishing effective communication lines and methods. Identify and solve employee problems, manage conflict, and respond to grievances as needed.
  • Builds learning into work performed by subordinate manager and supervisor, such that each gains an increasing understanding of how and why work is performed in the department and organization; this includes an understanding of current process deficiencies.
  • Performance appraisals are complete and accurate assessments of subordinate manager's and supervisor's performance and based upon observation of their performance and written records (e.g. fact files). Fact files are completed within established deadlines.
  • Oversee the establishment, accuracy and maintenance of transportation routes and route/client database.
  • Responsible for oversight of overall operations of Laboratory Information System(LIS) and interfaces, test setup, testing for client and PathSys/LIS interfaces, report formatting, and ReportPath setup and maintenance.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION:


  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

EXPERIENCE

  • Three to five years of relevant supervisory/managerial experience is required. 
  • LIS (Laboratory Information System) Administrator experience is preferred.
  • Two or more years of transportation/fleet experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of routes management preferred.
