Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the maintenance of data in the LIS and HIS applications to ensure quality and the integration of client information and patient data.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Setup and maintenance  of client and doctor data in LIS and HIS applications
  • Setup, maintenance, and monitoring of patient reporting- Report Path application
  • Setup and maintenance of laboratory tests including Custom Profiles in LIS and HIS whenever assigned.
  • Assist in the maintaining, supporting and maximizing the functionality of existing systems and applications.
  • Conduct testing to validate functionality in test setup and remote reporting files before changes are put into use.
  • Identify and resolve system, applications or other relevant client or patient concerns. Document and communicate these concerns to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Provide support of the software by resolving client, client services, marketing, or lab personnel questions and concerns promptly
  • Communicate with the marketing team, client service, and lab personnel to resolve client/doctor setup issues, remote reporting issues, and test setup issues. Document issues to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Train users to maximize the use and efficiency of the LIS files and data.
  • Develop and maintain user manuals, training materials and other documents as assigned.
  • Assist in the creation of application modifications and enhancement requests.
  • Provide input and direction for the application in support of the business goals.
  • Provide support to all lab personnel.
  • Work closely with the IT department to ensure that IT polices and procedures are followed.
  • Help protect electronic assets of clinical lab.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION & LICENSURE:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent of education and experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two years relevant experience in Information Systems is required.
  • Clinical laboratory experience is preferred.
