JOB SUMMARY:

The Financial Analyst – Revenue will play a key role in the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) business function for PathGroup, providing valuable insight into the numerous components of the company’s revenue picture. This person will support the monthly financial close and reporting process, along with forecasts and the annual budget. This person will also provide key analysis of charge and cash collection information, along with pricing and volume, which will allow the company to better understand its revenue trends.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support PathGroup’s mission, vision, goals and management decisions.
  • Responsible for analysis and reporting of the various components that comprise PathGroup’s revenue. This will include payer fee schedules, accounts receivable, cash collections, volume, and gross charge trends.
  • Provide reporting and analysis that will help understand volume trends and variances to budget/forecast as part of the monthly financial close and reporting process.
  • Maintain key internal analytical tools for understanding revenue and volume along with key performance indicators for senior management.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and ways in which the FP&A function can continue to provide more value to the company overall.
  • Lead the company’s process of updating rolling forecasts of revenue and volume, along with the process of setting annual budgets for both revenue and volume as well.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Business Office, and Operations to perform ad hoc analysis of revenue and volume trends, client and test profitability, reimbursement changes from key payers, and other projects as they arise.
  • Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the industry’s best security practices and regulatory guidelines to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information and other sensitive company data.
  • Must be familiar with and abide by the Corporate Compliance Program and all Corporate policies, including the Privacy and Security policies.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with other departments within PathGroup and subsidiaries.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION & LICENSURE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with a concentration in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or other business field is required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a minimum of three to five years of practical, related professional experience, preferably within the healthcare or lab services industry.
  • Previous work/study experience should include a high level of analysis with financial modeling and analysis. Any experience working with large data sets is a plus.
  • Candidates should have an extensive knowledge of MS Excel, including experience with pivot tables and v-lookups.
  • Proven track record of completing complex projects independently.
  • Proven experience in process development and improvement.
